Our client owns and operates their fibre optic network connecting 93 cities in 22 countries and has built metropolitan area networks (MANs) in 20 European centres of business. Generally accepted to be Europe’s fastest growing telecoms provider, our client owns and operates Europe’s most advanced and densely connected voice and data network.

As part of their continued growth, they now require a Hosting Sales Specialist to drive hosting sales in the UK. Whilst other services may be sold, the leading pitch and majority of the business generated from this position must be from the Managed Hosting service portfolio.

In order to achieve this the successful candidate will be required to build a prospect pipeline from a standing start via own initiatives and work with marketing to drive further prospecting initiatives. The successful candidates will be a highly proactive self-starter with the gravitas and credibility to drive the organisation to support and deliver competitive, technically viable solutions to the customer. Good existing database of target customers is essential.

A minimum of 5yrs hosting sales experience is required with evidence of hitting or exceeding targets.
Success in landing business with a contract value of €500K is essential. Whilst not a technical pre-sales role a good understanding of the following is required:

Operating systems: -Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / Red Hat Linux
Databases: -Microsoft SQL and Oracle.
Storage and backups: - iSCSI and FC SAN, NFS NAS, and storage snapshot technology.
Security: Firewalls / IDS/IPS / Unified Threat Management
Virtualisation: - VMware ESX
Business continuity and disaster recovery: Global Traffic Management /IP failover (BGP) / Data replication technologies

The following accreditation would be desirable:

CCNA/CCDA
