Our client is a leading Telecoms and ICT provider who own and operate a high-capacity fibre optic network that extends across 22 European countries and to over 180 countries worldwide via partner / wholesale agreements. As part of their continued growth, they now have a requirement for a New Business Account Manager based in the UK to identify and sell to corporates who require pan European data centric solutions such as MPLS networks.The successful candidate will have worked for either smaller regional carriers (for example, connectivity into Europe or Asia) or established global carriers in a new business capacity. You must be a self-starter, experienced in international solutions and be comfortable in selling on behalf on a company whose brand awareness, whilst strong in their home markets, may not be as visible as key competitors in the UK (for example, BT Global Services).
Role Overview:
- Implement and drive departmental and segment sales strategies and revenue objectives for the territories allocated in Europe, whilst ensuring optimal sales productivity and allocated budget objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities:
• New business sales
• Tactical and strategic planning for entry strategies and market development in segment
• Ensure Financial Performance for segment i.e. that revenue and budget targets are achieved
• Implement and execute Customer Retention/Development & Growth programs
• Support other team members wherever possible in building revenues.
• Implementing and/or executing processes and procedures to ensure consistent, professional sales activities in line with corporate and departmental guidelines and policies
Key activities:
• Allocating and prioritising areas of responsibility and achieving performance targets in line with business drivers for segments allocated.
• Regular reporting to Management Team, and presentations on overall progress, red flagging any barriers to success
• Ensure bookings and pipeline in place to deliver top & bottom line revenue targets
• Support and participate in training programs that supports the segment and its various functions, ensuring that people investment is well managed.
• Support “customer and employee satisfaction” programs, working to achieve improvements in all relevant areas.
Special Skills and Competencies:
